I wrote the other day about some of the big names in Belgian Chocolate to be found in Brussels. One of those being Marcolini. I came across a couple of his other shops today while out and about in the city. One in Place Sablon and one on the Rue des Minimes. The window display in this shop was Christmas themed, not surprising given the time of year and as ever I was very impressed by the creations on display. This bauble would look amazing on the fanicest of Christmas trees, and how cool is that box? Then there was the miniature forest of chocolate trees. All perfectly formed little cones of different varieties of chocolate.
Finally the other one that caught my eye was a Chrismas tree shape made from chocolate spheres. One side was white and the other left undecorated to show the milk chocolate surface. It was gently turning to show everyone both sides.
The shop was very busy, so I didn’t go in, but really I think it’s probably only a matter of time before I am counted among the roll of his customers. What do you think of these? Have you seen better? Please share in the comments.
